Vasquez highlighted initiatives set to have a positive impact on Peruvian citizens, such as the implementation of the Declaration on a New Vision for the Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific and the Lima Roadmap, aimed at facilitating the transition to a more formal and inclusive economy.
Another significant milestone was the Policy Guide for the Development of Low-Emission Hydrogen, which promotes sustainable solutions and opens new opportunities in energy innovation, paving the way for a cleaner and more modern economy.
The progress achieved under Peru's chairmanship was recognized by senior officials from New Zealand, South Korea, and Singapore, who highlighted the value of this legacy for the upcoming APEC presidencies of South Korea in 2025 and the People's Republic of China in 2026.
Thus, in this forum, which gathers more than 2,000 experts from around the world, Peru reaffirms its commitment to a development agenda aimed at delivering tangible benefits for its citizens and contributing to regional well-being.
"At a time of global uncertainty, platforms like this remind us of the importance of collective action and strategic vision," Peruvian diplomat emphasized.
