Lithuanian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday handed a protest note to Belarus over false reports of a drone attack from Lithuania.
The protest note was handed to Belarus’ interim charge d’affaires Yaroslav Khmyl, who was summoned to the Foreign Ministry.
On Thursday, Ivan Tertel, the head of the Belarusian KGB, said that Belarusian security authorities had prevented drone strikes on objects in Minsk from Lithuanian territory.
The Lithuanian Armed Forces and other institutions have strongly denied such reports, calling them a disinformation attack.
