Chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has been transferred from Slovakia to Albania on Wednesday. Boris Gandel, Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, told this to TASS.

Slovakia’s OSCE chairmanship priorities have been to settle existing conflicts and prevent emerging ones, effective multilateralism, and ensure the secure future of the planet.

The government of Slovakia had put the responsibility to implement these priorities upon Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak. He visited the existing conflict zones in the OSCE region.

According to Gandel, Slovakia, as a state chairing a prestigious international organization, has succeeded in intensifying a dialogue on the most complex issues in the OSCE region.
